As we enter 2023, let me take this opportunity to wish you a Happy New Year. As I write, I pray that God will strengthen and lead us together into "the more He has in store for us". May His presence go with us - or perhaps better - may we go with His presence!

However, we are also remembering the tragic events of Monday morning at the New County Hotel, just a few hundred feet from our front door. The death of 3 people as a result of the fire is distressing news and such a shocking and traumatic loss for their families. We also recognise that events like this impact those who survived. As we pray, let me invite you to pray for both the families and friends of those who have lost loved ones, but also for those who survived and are coming to terms with what happened. May God's presence and grace be with them also.

Let us keep praying for our city as we enter this new year. May God help us as we seek to serve, bless and reach the city for Christ!
