Help required!

We have a number of events coming up at Trinity this week and it's great to see the building being in use more often. This Saturday we're delighted to be hosting the Kyria Women's Conference (Kyria Scotland Conference (guestlist.co) for last minute sign-ups!). We are looking for helpers on Friday afternoon at 4.30pm to set up tables and chairs for this, and again on Saturday at 4.30pm after the event to put away tables and reset the church for our Sunday service. If you are able to help please let myself of Ian know.

Wellbeing and Mental Health Seminar

Also this Saturday (if you are not already at the Kyria conference!) - the Baptist Church are hosting a seminar on Wellbeing and Mental Health: Is faith a help or a hindrance? It will be hosted by Professor John Swinton, Chair of Practical Theology and Pastoral care at the University of Aberdeen and a former mental health nurse. John has written some fantastic books/pieces of work that have greatly informed and shaped my own studies and ministry. John is joined by Dr. Sally Bonnar, former consultant Psychiatrist and Associate Medical Director for Mental Health in NHS Tayside. The event is from 9.30am-12. This is such an important topic for these times that we find ourselves in and for us to understand the role faith can play as we think about mental health and wellbeing.

Of course we are also looking forward to having Tommy McNeil share with us tomorrow evening from 7.30pm as part of his Sleeping Giant book launch. We hope to see some of you there.

Blessings,

Emma Jardine
