We wanted to send out some more information about some things that are happening in the run up to Christmas, including information on how you can donate to Project Christmas Stocking so here is everything you need to know below!

Project Christmas Stocking with Social Flock

As we have mentioned between now and Sunday 12th December, we'll be gathering presents to give to children in Perth which will be distributed through Social Flock.

Social Flock is a constituted Community Group, made up of passionate and experienced volunteers, who are working hard to support families who need a wee bit of extra help in our area. They specialise in collecting and redistributing clothing and other essentials to families in need. Families can approach Social Flock themselves, or be referred by a range of services including social work, education and charity organisations.

It is our hope that as a church family we can give Christmas gifts to 100 children whose families could use some extra love this Christmas. Through Project Christmas Stocking, children who have required a Winter Warmer pack (full of cold-weather clothing) from Social Flock will get a much-appreciated Christmas present. As a wee reminder, there are three ways which anyone who would like to get involved in Project Christmas Stocking can do so: 

- Buy a gift for a child, up to the value of £20, and bring it to church (unwrapped please!) on either the 5th or 12th of December. There is a decorated box in the sanctuary where these can be placed. 

- Purchase a gift from the Amazon Wishlist at https://cutt.ly/ProjectChristmasStocking

This will be sent directly to the team coordinating our efforts, no further effort required! - Hand cash to either Karen McCleary, Louise Skipper and Jenni Keenan, or any of the pastoral staff. Finally, we will be having a Present-Wrapping Party at church on the evening of Friday 17th December - please save the date! 

December Prayer Meetings – 8th & 15th December @ Blend

Our prayer meetings in December will look a bit different, but we wanted to create a space for a more informal gathering, fellowship and time of prayer together. We will meet at Blend Coffee Lounge on Wednesday 8th and 15th December at the earlier time of 6.30pm – 8pm. We hope you can come out and join this relaxed evening on these dark winter nights!

Young Adults Connect Event

On Thursday 9th December from 6.30pm – 8pm we will be holding a get together at Blend Coffee Lounge with Pizza, Coffee and Cakes for Young Adults (Ages 18-30s). It’s a chance for new and existing members of the church to get together and connect with one another. No sign up – Just turn up! Any questions please speak to Pastor Chris.

Youth Christmas Craft Evening

Christmas Craft Event for girls from the ages of 9-18. Happening at the church on Saturday 18th December starting at 1pm. There will be a few stations of different crafts to go around and there will also be some nibbles to be had while we craft together. Speak to Pastor Hannah for more info.

Lift

We are so pleased to let you know that the new lift has been installed and is fully operational! The new lift is a platform lift so it will look a little different from what we previously had. The main difference you will notice is the need to push and hold the button to call the lift and to move once inside. There will be people on hand on Sunday to show you how to use it. We look forward to welcoming those people back who have been unable to join us for worship!
