Prayer Request and What's On!
Dear Church,
Today I hoped to send an email to invite you to pray for Jim Hendry who was due to travel to Edinburgh today for a triple heart-bypass operation tomorrow. Jim has been waiting for several months for this operation which has been cancelled on a number of occasions and again he was told just yesterday that tomorrow’s operation would not be going ahead. This is a frustrating time for Jim who has been looking forward to the operation going ahead so he can enjoy a new lease of life. Please would you join us in prayer for him and Sandra and their family as they wait for at least another 2 weeks that the operation would be able to go ahead sooner rather than later. We also think of many others across our country who find themselves in similar situations with hospitals that are at capacity and operations cancelled time and time again.
We will join together tonight to pray for Jim and the many others in our congregation facing difficult circumstances as part of our Encounter Evening at 7.30pm tonight.

Ukraine Connections Event (Poster Attached)
Saturday 15th October, 1pm-4pm, Erskine Church of the Nazarene
The Nazarene Missions International team at Erskine Church of the Nazarene have extended an invitation for us to join together with those who have come from Ukraine across our district and their host families. They will be joined with Hayley Tarrant who is currently serving in Poznan, Poland and Sylvia and Vovo who are Nazarene pastors from Kyiv to share stories of how Nazarene Compassionate Ministry teams are responding at the Polish border and from the resettlement and support centre in Poland. There will be an opportunity to hear from them as well as hear about opportunities for serving at the border. There will be plenty of cakes, drinks, Ukranian music and dance as well as bouncy castles, kids activities and a Youth Stream. You are welcome to drop in for some of all of the time!
One Hope Ladies Breakfast (Poster Attached)
Saturday 29th October, Perth Baptist Church 8:30am – 10am
Around twice a year, women from across all churches in Perth join together for the One Hope Ladies breakfast. There will be a devotion Dayspring MacLeod from Edinburgh, author of 10 Women Who Overcame Their Past. All women are welcome to attend and bring a friend!
Kyria Women’s Leadership Conference
Saturday 12th November, 9:30am – 4pm
We are also excited to be hosting the Kyria Women's Leadership conference "Lift my Head" at Trinity on Saturday November 12th from 9.30am-4.pm.
