Dear Church Family.

What a great service we had on Sunday and what a moving Act of Remembrance. Thanks to Oksana for her beautiful leading of "How Great is Our God" in Ukrainian - a very poignant moment for us all.

Oksana's brother, Andriy, is waiting to come to the UK, but we do need a host family to make this happen. If you would be interested and willing to become a host family for him, then please reply to this email, or speak to Emma Jardine, Matthew Ross, or myself on Sunday. Thank you.

We are looking forward to Advent and preparing for Christmas. With so much happening across the country and around the world, we remind ourselves that this season celebrates the coming of Jesus into the world, Light into Darkness, Hope into despair. He is "Immanuel: God with us". And so this is a season of expectation and celebration.

So what's happening at Trinity...

I've attached some flyers to help you plan for Christmas@Trinity2022, including a list of events that will take us into 2023! Have a look at TRINITY CHRISTMAS 'at a glance' and get the dates in your diary as we celebrate Christmas together.

I've also included some flyers for specific events in the next week:

  • Wednesday 23 Nov: "DECK THE HALLS" is a last minute spontaneous idea to have a fun social evening at the Church to put up the Christmas Decorations. It's for everyone and all ages, with a special timeslot for families from 6-7pm (but you can stay longer), and then an OPEN HOUSE from 7-9pm. Enjoy some Mulled Wine (non-alcoholic) or Fruit Punch with a mince pie on arrival, or grab a hot chocolate, tea or coffee - all available throughout the evening. And of course some Classic Christmas Carols in the background!
  • Saturday 26 Nov, 10am-12.30pm: And we've been promoting our CHRISTMAS CRAFTS FAIR over the last few months. There's still time if you want to make some things to sell and set up your own stall, with all proceeds going to the Building Refurb. And of course, bring your friends on the day to pick up some gifts and stocking fillers, and enjoy "The Buzz". We hope you'll make it!

More info on all of the above (and more) will be coming, but there's plenty to be involved in on the run up to Christmas - so get your diaries out and get those dates in!

Thanks all

Grace and Peace
