Dear Church Family.

Just 3 things to share with you that have ended up making this rather wonderful invitation - "Encounter... the Promise... On Pentecost". So here, we go...

  1. Encounter... (Wed 1 June)

  2. The Promise... (month of June)

  3. On Pentecost... (Sun 5 June)

Here's some details...

This month's ENCOUNTER prayer and worship evening is on Wednesday 1st June at the church. This month we'll start from 7.15pm with Cake & Coffee, some conversation on "The Gifts of the Spirit" (what are they, who & what are they for, what do they look like), and then entering a time of worship, prayer, and ministry together. This is part of our series on 1 Corinthians 12-14, and so we're using 1 Corinthians 14:26-33 as the format for the ministry time. Have a read of it before you come and invite the Holy Spirit to speak.

Then THE PROMISE is launching a new initiative in June in line with this season of Pentecost. We've been posting details on our Facebook page this week, but I wanted to share it with you by email too. Here's Kayte's invitation...

Tired of your current-day story?
Fed up of living in the shadow of bad news?
Would you like to be a part of changing that narrative?
A price was paid for Pentecost. What might happen if we collectively pursued it, within?
During the month of June, a daily sixty second sound bite is being released by The Promise, designed to encourage and fire up our focus on the Spirit of God within us.
Through it, we are aiming to cheerlead 50,000 testimonials that tell a different story (to the typical news of the day) The kind of testimonies that are only made possible by the power of God’s Spirit at work. Stories of hope, breakthrough and faith in God.

And why not share on social media, download the app and join the cheerleading towards 50,000 testimonials.

And lastly...

ON PENTECOST (Sunday 5th June), we have a very kind invitation to families of pre-school or primary school children to visit Kinfauns Castle and enjoy a Fun Fair and some Food in a marquee in the Castle Gardens. This is all free of charge and a bus will be ready to take you and your family from the Church after the morning service to the Castle and then back again in the afternoon. The event is from 12-3pm. We willneed to give tickets to those who wish to come so that transport and food can be managed. We'll hear more on Sunday and tickets will be available, but thank you to Ann and David for their kind invitation.

And of course, following an afternoon of family entertainment, we encourage you to make your way back to Church on Sunday evening at 6pm for our Pentecost Celebration with other churches. This has always been an inspiring time of worship together and so we hope you'll be eager to be there!

SO that's 3 things for what's coming, and a wonderful invitation -

ENCOUNTER... THE PROMISE... ON PENTECOST!

Thanks all

Grace and Peace
