This morning was the first week of Advent as we move towards Christmas and the celebration of Jesus' birth - He is "Imannuel: God with us". Through Advent, the Church across the world often recalls 4 things during this season - the gifts of Hope, Peace, Joy and Love through Christ, and Fred took us through the first of these this morning as he challenged us about the "Deficit of Hope" in our culture. We have been "Gifted With Hope" in order to "Give Hope" to others. If you didn't manage to hear this Sunday's service, then why not catch up by clicking the following link...
Of course on Sunday morning we shared some more detail on "Christmas At Trinity" for this year and it felt like "INFORMATION OVERLOAD"! So, we wanted to send an outline of the planned events so that you have them in black and white. We will have some invite cards available, but here's the rundown of events for your diary...
And let's join with the other Churches across Perth for this years CHRISTMAS BOX 2021 at the Concert Hall on Wednesday 22nd December at 6pm. Have a look at the attached flyer for more information, but please note you can also book through the Church - just let us know how many tickets you need.
As well as all this, the Life Groups have been given the challenge of doing some kind of Christmas Blessing to their community, neighbours, or community group, and a challenge this morning to other church groups too. But of course, you can do this spontaneously yourself, especially after this morning's sermon on sharing hope with others - why not think of someone(s) beyond the church to reach out to and bless through December.
We will also have a Hogmanay Celebration on Friday 31st December but more details to come on that soon!
So, there's plenty happening over December and we're looking forward to celebrating together, with the community, and with other Churches as we remember together the birth of Christ.
Looking forward to sharing these weeks with you.
Grace and Peace
Ian
